As a member of the International Dance Council you are invited to attend the 21st General Assembly to be held on Monday 21 December 2015 at Palais de l'UNESCO in Paris.
CID does not provide financial assistance for travel or accommodation. You can apply to your country's National Commission for UNESCO and to public or private sponsors, on the basis of this invitation.
Only CID members can attend the General Assembly. Members unable to attend can send a proxy for another member. Working languages are English and French, without translation.

Invitation à la 21ème Assemblée Générale
du Conseil International de la Danse CID
En tant que membre du Conseil International de la Danse, vous êtes convoqué/e à la 21ème Assemblée Générale ordinaire, qui se tiendra le lundi 21 décembre 2015 dans le Palais de l'UNESCO à Paris.
Le CID ne pouvant pas prendre en charge les frais de voyage ou d'hébergement, vous pouvez faire une demande auprès de la Commission Nationale pour l'UNESCO de votre pays ou bien auprès d'organismes publics ou privés, sur la base de cette invitation. L'endroit, l'heure et le programme seront communiqués avant le mois de novembre 2015.
La présente convocation peut être utilisée pour soutenir votre demande de visa auprès des autorités consulaires, si nécessaire.

01. Venue
Monday 21 December 2015 at 10:00 in Salle II, Palais de l'UNESCO, 7 place de Fontenoy, 75352 Paris 07, Cambronne station, metro line 6.

Be there at 09:30 for accreditation. Passport is required. Make sure your name is in the List of participants.
02. Agenda
The General Assembly is an administrative event, there are no lectures, performances or dance classes. Very limited time will be available for speakers, up to 3 minutes to present views on policy.
The Assembly will last several hours, it will end before 16:00.
03. Languages
English and French are the working languages of CID, either one can be used. If you are in the List of speakers you can use any other language. Translation will not be provided.
04. Networking
We would like you to meet every Member in the Assembly, discuss cooperation with them at informal meetings. Bring a large number of visiting cards to exchange (see format it at the CID Portal). Bring flyers and printed matter to distribute. 300 members from 30 countries are expected.
05. Accommodation
Book a hotel preferably along metro line 6. Book now - most hotels will be full long before Christmas. Find low-priced hotels at http://ParisSection.cid-portal.org
06. Visits
CID Members from Paris will be available to give you local information. For places of particular interest to dance professionals visit the Paris for Dancers website: http://paris.orchesis-portal.org
07. Delegation to UNESCO
Call for an appointment at the Delegation of your country to UNESCO. Find contact details at www.cid-portal.org/site/index.php/other/links
08. International Certification
International Certification will be handed at a special ceremony to students attending the General Assembly. Fill the Certification form for students you propose.
09. Informal meetings
During the previous and following days you can meet other members very near the Palais de l'UNESCO at Café Cambronne, 5 place Cambronne, right next to Cambronne metro station. Please wear your CID badge.
10. Visa
Call the Consulate of France to get information on documents and time required. Ask for Certificate of Invitation to be sent to you together with Confirmation of Membership 2016. You will find information on visa at http://ParisSection.cid-portal.org
11. Membership
Only Members of the CID for 2016 can take part. A List of Members attendingwill be at the entrance. Send membership fee for 2016 as early as possible, our Secretariat will be very busy. If you have colleagues who wish to attend please nominate them now (send names and email addresses).
12. Tourism
Take a few days before or after the Assembly to enjoy Paris at its best, decorated and illuminated. To see Paris with a dancer's eyes visit regularly http://paris.orchesis-portal.org
13. Attire
Wearing an ethnic dress or parts of it at the Assembly is most welcome.
